I’m not sure if you all knew, but this next month, Feb. 12-28 to be exact, the 2010 Olympics begin in Vancouver, BC. While most of won’t be attending, we can still get a small taste of one event - the Men’s/Women’s Halfpipe. The US men’s and women’s teams will be decided this weekend at Park City after a weekend of competing.
The events technically start Wednesday, but it’s training, and end on Sunday, but that’s just a 1-hour news broadcast; so basically show up Friday and Saturday, and if you can only go one day then go on Saturday. There’ll be vendors and fun little things to do, an Xbox rail jam, Burton’s gonna be there demoing out their gear (which means you can ride the hell out of a board guilt/worry free), the Superpipe finals are from 6:30-8:30, and then 30 Seconds to Mars are playing for free right after the awards ceremony.
If you live in or around Park City, and enjoy life in any way, cruise out to Park City Resort this weekend. It’s bound to be a good time had by all: seeing some sick tricks, getting some free stuff/snacks, and hanging out with some cool people.
